My attempt at free expression. The last cake in my class could be anything. I was going to give this to my sister that year, but it didn't turn out as well, so she got a fondant cake instead.
My attempt at non-edible cakes.
I have many more pictures of cakes and other things, but can't seem to find them all. I organize all of my photos by year and folder and date, but not always by name so I need to fix that. I was doing good through about 2007. Anyway, these are my attempts at creativity and not that great, but at least a start.
Okay - yes we are family but if it looked goofy I probably would have said something. I thought all of the cakes looked cool. I thought the fondant ones were especially pretty but I didn't like how the fondant tasted.

I think you should go for the cupcake idea. I really do. You could make some really cute miniatures of the fondant cakes and I'm sure you've seen tons of other ideas. I don't have the patience to do all the cake stuff and especially the candy making. While I do enjoy our annual baking time I can't say I long to do it any other time. You are good at it. Just need a little push.
You need to market yourself and create like a fan page for yourself on facebook or something.

Funny, I thought it was our stigmata. LOL I think too that I find so many things that I think I could make and wonder why I don't. Kind of like those earrings the other day, we totally could have made that. So, when I think those things in my head then I start to become passionate about it. And figure out a way that I could do it. The problem is I don't want to struggle at all with it. I want it to come out right the first time and every time. I did make some cupcakes tonight. So, I will post a picture of those later.

ReplyDeleteYes you could have given it to me. I LOVE cake. And so I want you to make me some cupcakes for Easter to give to my staff. And if they're reading this - please act surprised. haha!! I want some like the cake above with the little flowers in it. We can work out the details. Is this your first order? :)
